Southwest Transitway Stage 2 development
Stage 1 of the Southwest Transitway opened April 8, 2012, and currently operates from Downtown to Pembina & Jubilee. Stage 2 planning, which is currently underway, looks at extending the Southwest Transitway from Pembina & Jubilee south to the University of Manitoba. Stage 2 is being planned as part of the City’s proposed Capital Integration Project, which includes both Stage 2 of the Southwest Transitway and the widening of the Pembina Highway Underpass at Jubilee.
