All Candidates must:

  • possess great customer service skills and a sincere desire to serve the public
  • be eligible to work in Canada
  • have mature judgment and a keen sense of responsibility
  • possess a Grade 10 education
  • possess a full valid Class 5 driver’s licence, with a Driver Safety Rating of 1 or better
  • have the ability to obtain a Class II (2) driver’s licence with airbrake endorsement
  • obtain a criminal record check with vulnerable sector search completed
  • be willing to work a variety of shifts; splits, day and or night shifts as well as weekends and holidays
  • have the ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
  • possess demonstrated employment stability
  • be capable of meeting the physical demands of the job – such as sitting for prolonged periods of time
  • be able to use extreme ranges of motion including but not limited to reaching, gripping, push/pull of steering wheel, twisting and turning of neck, respond to sensory/perceptual demands
  • have good concentration and fine finger movements, such as keying data into fare box keypad, route signage or two-way radio controls
