New On-Request transit service replaces DART 101

August 12, 2021 – Winnipeg Transit has launched an On-Request transit service pilot project which allows passengers in the three zones currently served by DART service to book rides with the easy-to-use Winnipeg Transit On-Request mobile app, the Winnipeg Transit On-Request booking site, or by calling 311.

The On-Request transit service replacing DART uses innovative trip planning software and GPS technology to plan bus routes in real-time and respond immediately to passengers’ trip requests. It aims to increase service efficiency and decrease wait times for passengers.

The 204-287-DART phone line is no longer in service. All rides will require booking in advance to ensure there is enough room for everyone.

More information about On-Request service and how to book your ride is available on the On-Request page.
