Please call the Handi-Transit Contact Centre at (204) 986-5722 and ask the customer service representative if you have any questions.

Fare Payment from Account

Handi-Transit offers a cash-free electronic payment system called Fare Payment from Account (FPA). FPA allows Handi-Transit registrants to prepay their fares when they take a trip. A virtual account is created for you at Handi-Transit and you can deposit funds into your account by the following methods; telephone or on-line banking, cheque, cash, debit or credit card. You are able to purchase a monthly buspass from your account or have your fare automatically deducted from your account once you have taken your ride.

Please see our FAQ’s on the automated fare system for more information or speak to one of our customer service representatives at 204-986-5722.

Please note that if you have any outstanding balances (Ie. No Show Charges, NSF Charges, Fare Owing) they will be automatically deducted from any existing or deposited funds in your fare payment account. If you have outstanding charges, when making deposits into your account, please ensure that you deposit sufficient funds to cover your charges and any trips that you may be taking in the foreseeable future.

Operators and Fare Collection

When riding Handi-Transit you can pay for your fare with cash, tickets, tokens, bus pass or through fare payment from account. When paying with cash you must have the exact change as operators do not carry any change.
The expectation is that every rider pays a fare to ride Handi-Transit, unless advised otherwise. Please speak to your operator if you do not have the correct fare and he will advise Handi-Transit so that any unpaid fares can be collected.

*Post Secondary Students must show proof of current registration at time of purchase.
