  • Winnipeg Transit reserves the right to change these terms and conditions without notice.
  • Your peggo card remains the property of Winnipeg Transit – must be presented on request for inspection and may be confiscated for misuse.
  • Winnipeg Transit reserves the right to deactivate cards suspected of being used in a fraudulent manner.
  • Fraudulent use of a peggo card is a criminal offence.
  • Your peggo card must have valid fare product loaded on the card prior to boarding a bus and must be fully visible to the operator while tapping it on the farebox.
  • All sales of loaded products on a peggo card are final and refunds are not permitted.
  • Winnipeg Transit reserves the right to correct the balance on your peggo card for technical or accounting errors.
  • Your peggo card has a limited life and expiry dates are subject to times and dates determined by Winnipeg Transit.
  • Any personal information disclosed in person or entered on our website will be collected, stored and handled in strict accordance with The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).
  • Full fare (Adult) peggo cards are not transferable at point of boarding.
  • Youth and Senior peggo cards are not transferrable – cannot be given to someone else to use. This applies to:
    • Youth 16 and under (Children 11 and under ride for free with a fare paying customer)
    • High School Students 17-21 (Photo ID Student Card or Transit issued Photo ID must be shown to the Operator when boarding)
    • Seniors 65 or older (Federal Government Blue Card or Transit issued Photo ID must be shown to the Operator when boarding)
    • Post-Secondary Students enrolled part-time or full-time in one of the participating educational institutions, link to website (Validated Student ID card must be shown to the Operator when boarding).
  • You are responsible for the care of your card to ensure the chip or antenna in the card is not damaged by piercing, bending or causing other damage.
  • Lost or stolen peggo card that have been registered with Winnipeg Transit and deactivated (online, by calling 311 or visiting a Transit Customer Service Centre) are eligible for a credit of any unused product or value that remains on the card 48 hours after the reported loss.
  • Lost or stolen peggo cards that were not registered are not eligible for a credit of any unused product or value.
  • Replacement cost for lost, stolen and damaged cards is $5.00.
