U-Pass

In the fall of 2016 the University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg will introduce a U-Pass to all full time students.

University of Manitoba

For the 2016-2017 school year full time University of Manitoba students will be issued paper U-Passes. Students will be issued a pass that will be valid from September 1 to December 31, 2016. At a date to be determined by the university a second pass will be issued to students that will be valid from January 1 – April 30, 2017.

Students will be required to show their valid university student ID when boarding in addition to your U-Pass. A validation stickers for the 2016-2017 school year will be affixed to your student ID by University of Manitoba staff at the time you pick up your September – December U-Pass. The validation sticker on your student ID is required for all U-Pass users. Those using a U-Pass without a valid ID sticker risk having their U-Pass confiscated.

Post-Secondary peggo card
For students who attend the University of Manitoba on a part-time basis and are not eligible for the U-Pass students you can pick up a post-secondary peggo card. Cards will be sold at the university. For more information on the Post-Secondary pass program visit our Post-Secondary information page

University of Winnipeg

Beginning in August 2016 University of Winnipeg students will be issued peggo card for use beginning September 1, 2016.

Students will be required to show their valid university student ID to the operator when tapping your peggo card. A validation sticker for the 2016-2017 school year will be affixed to your student ID by University of Winnipeg staff at the time you are issued your peggo card. The validation sticker on your student ID is required for all U-Pass users. Those using a U-Pass without a valid ID sticker risk having their card deactivated.
