Winter term U-Pass extended for University of Winnipeg students
April 26, 2024 – Yesterday, Council approved a two-day extension of the University of Winnipeg 2024 winter term U-Pass as a result of the recent cyber attack at the University of Winnipeg.
The winter term U-Pass will now be valid until May 2, 2024 for University of Winnipeg students.
On Wednesday, May 1 and Thursday, May 2, University of Winnipeg students will be able to use their winter term U-Passes to board Winnipeg Transit buses simply by showing bus operators their U-Pass and valid student ID, without tapping their U-Pass cards on the farebox. U-Pass peggo cards will not work on the farebox and should not be tapped.
Transit spring service changes in effect Sunday, April 14
Winnipeg Transit’s spring schedule will be in effect on Sunday, April 14. As part of the spring schedule, schedule changes will be in effect on the following routes:
